Ron Mael's Main Live Keyboards (Early70's)
Early70's〜
Wurlitzer electric piano
Kimono My House 〜 Propaganda (1974)
RMI electra-piano 368 and Fender Rhodes piano (Mark I Stage Piano? )
"Before the Halfnelson album, I had a Wurlitzer electric piano. I loved the sound because it let me sound like Ray Charles on What'd I Say but the metal pieces inside kept breaking.
When I moved to England, for some reason I bought an RMI piano. It had three sounds: piano, organ and a sort of harpsichord, I believe. I only needed the piano, but the sound was incredibly horrible, so I bought an Echoplex, a tape delay unit, to give it a little pizazz, and that was the sound of most of Kimono My House and Propaganda and at our live shows at that time."
